Tracy Bagatelle-Black is an experienced, strategic public relations consultant. Prior to consulting, she worked both in-house as a public relations director and within an agency environment, both boutique and top-ten. Her knowledge base is extremely broad including entertainment, business, technology, medical, automotive, interior design and marketing publicity for consumer and business-to-business companies. Name an industry and she’s probably done it. She can help your business get the attention that it desires and deserves through an integrated, strategic approach that includes media and analyst relations, social media marketing, leadership visibility, event planning and trade show public relations.

She works within your budget. As a consultant Bagatelle-Black has the flexibility to take on projects both large and small, working within a company’s budget. Unlike an agency, she doesn’t have minimums. In fact, Bagatelle-Black’s clients include PR agencies; working as a subcontractor she has helped other PR professionals meet their goals for their clients.

She produces results. Bagatelle-Black is a results-oriented consultant. Whether you’re looking to get high-profile media coverage or book a speaking calendar, this PR consultant doesn’t take no for an answer. She has successfully placed her clients in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, CNet, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Wired, Travel + Leisure, Rolling Stone, Spin, Gizmodo, and others. She has also booked clients on numerous radio and television shows including Martha Stewart Living, Good Morning America, CNN/fn’s Digital Jam, Fox News Network, CyberGuy’s syndicated segment, Showbiz Today, Bloomberg’s BootCamp, CBS Radio and more. She knows how to pinpoint the reporters and outlets that will be interested in your story. And it doesn’t stop with media coverage. She has also booked countless media and analyst tours, set up speaking calendars for her clients’ principals and helped increase the bottom line for her clients.

She has a solid background. Prior to freelancing, Bagatelle-Black was the director of public relations for PeopleLink, a B2B Internet company that provides community services such as instant messaging and message boards to e-businesses for customer relationship management. While there she was responsible for all public relations functions from agency review to company re-launch as well as developing the public relations strategy and plan, managing a team of 11 public relations professionals and a budget of $400,000.

Before PeopleLink, Bagatelle-Black was an account supervisor at Hill & Knowlton, a top 5 public relations firm, where she managed several teams for H&K's technology clients. Her experience at Hill & Knowlton was quite diverse working on clients that ranged from Internet companies to wireless telecommunications, including B2C and B2B hardware, software and infrastructure firms. Bagatelle-Black was also a member of H&K’s Media Group, contributing her talents as a media relations professional on various accounts including a top-ten law firm and a national petstore chain. Additionally, she has held positions at the Terpin Group, where she led the Internet Group for the firm, and at InterActive Agency, one of the first public relations agencies in the country to take on Internet public relations. She began her career doing entertainment public relations at a boutique firm in Los Angeles.

Bagatelle-Black earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from Union College and a master’s degree in film and video from American University.
